Blind Date

A blind date is a date that you will not have met or talked to the person that you are about to meet.  This is very stressful because you do not want to give them a bad first impression.  Many individuals actually hate to go on them because they are not sure that this person that they will meet will be anything like the type of person that they like.  Nevertheless, it is happening and you can make the best of it, if you do some things to insure that it goes well.  A blind date can still be fun.

Although you may not see the other person yet, you may be able to talk to them.  If this is possible do so.  This will take off a lot of the pressure on that first date.  Just give them a call and talk about where you will be going and what you would like to do.  You can also get to know who they are here as well.  Right off the bat you will know if this is someone that you actually do want to spend time with or if it is someone to call in sick to.

Present yourself in the most true to you fashion.  You do not want to be too flashy and you definitely will want to be dressed appropriately for the place that you are going.  When you do these things, you will be in a better situation to actually feel comfortable.  You may want to insure that what you wear says something about you.  If you do not want them to think you are being forward, don’t dress like it. 

Where you go is also a very important consideration on a blind date.  If you plan to go to the date on your own, without anyone accompanying you, you will definitely want to make that date happen in an open area, one in which there are many others around.  This is very important in such cases such as those where no one that you know knows this person either.  For example, a blind date from the internet should always be done in a public location for safety’s sake.

In any case, a blind date can be fun.  To make it so, make sure that your personality comes out.  If you are humorous, make sure that too comes out.  If you are someone that enjoys talking about the people around you do that too.  Yet, there are some things you will want to avoid including talking about your past relationships, your political standpoint and your personal needs.  These things are sure to drive them away.  Do this and your blind date will be wonderful.
