Dressing Appropriately for your Date
New date looming and unsure what to wear? Dressing appropriately for your date will raise your self- esteem. You will be radiating confidence. Instead of feeling ill at ease, you will have one less thing to worry about.
Here are some handy tips to ensure you will be dressing appropriately for your date:
1. Personal Hygiene. This is a must. It won’t matter whether you are dressing appropriately for your date if you are not clean. Ensure your hair has seen some shampoo and your teeth the toothbrush. Using deoderant will also help with the pre date nerves sweating. A litle perfume or aftershave is fine, but do not drown yourself in it.
2. Venue Appropriate. Dressing appropriately for your date really hinges on wearing the relevant outfit for the occasion. Are you going on a picnic or to a nightclub? Now, it sounds obvious, but sometimes when the nerves strike, common sense abandons you. If you are exploring the great outdoors, jeans, sandshoes and t-shirt would be the sensible option. (You can still wear the jeans that make your butt look small.) The correct footwear is pretty important here, you do no want to be hobbling around with blisters, or ruining the Jimmy Choos in the soft mud.
3. Dressing for your Body Type. Do you have great legs? Curves in all the right places? Bits that you are self conscious about? Well, when dressing appropriately for your date, you need to keep these things in mind. If you are toned and terrific, wear something that subtly demonstrates all your hard work at the gym. If you have parts of your body you are unhappy with, then highlight your best attributes. Do not wear clothes that are too small as these will just contribute to you feeling uncomfortable. If you are going to be sitting down for the evening, check that if you are wearing a shirt, that it is not going to pull on the buttons.
4. Keep Something Back. While it is certainly a great idea to subtly display your physical attributes to their best advantage, this does not mean wearing a shirt cut to your navel or something see through. By dressing appropriately for your date, you will be getting your date interested. If they can see it all in the first few minutes, then where is the curiosity for next time? Keep your date wondering.
5. Makeup. Guys generally prefer for girls to look fabulously natural and healthy. This does not mean no makeup, just skilfully applied for that radiant look. Guys are often put off by too much obvious makeup as then they start to wonder what you are hiding.
Dressing appropriately is not difficult. Do not wait until the last minute to select your outfit. If you are unsure, ask for a friend’s opinion. By feeling confident, you will look confident, and your date will flow more smoothly.
